Two webinars monthly is a prescription for success on the job

By Peggy Connolly, Director of Marketing & Communications, Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship

Is staying current with corporate citizenship and meeting new management challenges giving you a headache? We’ve got the remedy: take two Boston College Center webinars a month and you’ll feel better able to meet the ever-growing demands of your job.

The webinars are presented on the first and third Wednesdays (noon to 1 p.m. ET) and are designed to provide you with new information on topics that range from managing volunteer and giving programs to adding brand value through citizenship to creating more effective communications strategies to engage with key stakeholders.

Next webinar is a must-attend

On September 16 Boston College will be providing a sneak preview of the results of the recent 2009 State of Corporate Citizenship in the U.S. survey.  If you’re worried about how the recession is affecting corporate citizenship, this is a must-attend webinar. Some of the results are encouraging, although there are areas for concern. Click here for more information and to register.

The survey report won’t be officially released until September 23, so this webinar will provide attendees an early look at the results and an opportunity to benchmark how your company is weathering these difficult economic times. For example, the survey found that 38 percent of companies decreased their philanthropy/giving. Does that reflect your reality, or are you among the 50 percent of companies that stayed even? The Boston College Center research team and project partner The Hitachi Foundation will present in more detail that finding and more.

The webinar program, a one hour web-based learning opportunity, is one of the many benefits of corporate membership in the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. Non-members are invited to attend for a fee of $99 per webinar.

The fall semester program kicked off September 2 with a presentation on the competencies needed to be a corporate citizenship leader. The remaining schedule includes:
